World Empire V – Addictive Strategy Game
The great thing about computers is that with the right piece of software, they can prove to be a good replacement for a lot of things. Computer can for example replace your radio – with the right piece of software you can listen to a myriad of radio stations online. Computers can also replace your TV and DVD player – you can watch TV online, or fit a TV card to your PC and watch TV on your monitor.
Computer can also replace classic board games, like the classic military strategy game Risk. An application that can help your computer achieve this task is the Viable Software Alternatives-developed World Empire V.
World Empire V is a computer game based on the traditional Risk game. It has the following to offer:
- The game offers to playing mode: Normal and Expert. In Normal mode you start the game with 56 divisions. In Expert mode you start with 30 divisions. All the divisions are placed in a randomly selected country.
- The goal in the game is to wipe out all of your opponents and capture all of the territories. There are in total 205 real world countries to conquer. You must make sure to place enough armies in a conquered country, or there could be a revolution.
- You can choose between 24 generals.
- You can choose your color, flag (205 flags), general, name, and other bits and pieces.
- Up to 8 players can compete against one another (human or computer players).
The Viable Software Alternatives-developed application World Empire V does not put the focus on incredibly good looking graphics. Instead it puts the focus on the gameplay – a strategy, highly addictive gameplay that will get you hooked.
